Researchers, practitioners, and postgraduate scholars are warmly invited to contribute. The volume integrates foundational theory, domain-specific applications, and international case studies in order to deliver practical strategies for resilient and future-ready cities.

IV. Submission Guidelines

Proposal Stage

Each proposal should comprise a chapter title, an abstract of 200 to 300 words, four to six keywords, author affiliations, ORCID identifiers where available, and a short biographical note of 50 to 100 words per author. A full reference list is not required at this stage.

Accepted chapters should be between 8,000 and 12,000 words, inclusive of references. Manuscripts must use the chapter template provided below and follow the applicable Taylor & Francis book-chapter requirements.

Originality and Similarity

Chapters must be original and must not have been submitted elsewhere. All submissions will be screened using standard similarity tools, and significant unattributed overlap will be grounds for rejection.

Editorial Process

All proposals and full chapters will be subject to editorial assessment and peer review. One round of revisions is anticipated prior to acceptance. Authors will be advised of decisions in line with the dates listed on the preceding page.

Responsible Use of AI and Declaration

All submissions must comply with the Taylor & Francis AI Policy, available at taylorandfrancis.com/our-policies/ai-policy. Generative AI tools may be used to assist with limited language refinement; however, authors remain fully responsible for the integrity, originality, and accuracy of all content. Any use of generative AI tools must be disclosed in a declaration accompanying the submission. AI tools may not be listed as authors, and AI-generated images are not permitted other than where AI is the explicit subject of the research.

Co-authorship and Diversity

Contributors are encouraged to collaborate with international and early-career co-authors in order to broaden the disciplinary, geographic, and generational diversity of the volume.
